The smallest of the seventeen autonomous regions of Spain, La Rioja is specifically famous for its fine wines. Apart from the captivating wines, tourists can enjoy therapeutic thermal waters and some amazing Spanish heritage sites. The adventurous activities that the holiday makers can have in La Rioja are hiking, skiing and white water rafting. You can also explore the marks left by dinosaurs over 150 million years ago. La Rioja is nestled between the Ebro depression and the Iberian mountain range, providing some excellent picturesque mountain setting.
