The Galician coastline is characterized by high cliffs and deep inlets (estuaries). It is known by the most impressing beach in country´s geography, the Beach of Cathedrals. It is in municipality Ribadeo, on the border with Asturias.It is better to visit this beach during low inflow and outflow as during a full flood a beach line practically disappears. It has received a name of Cathedrals thanks to the whimsical form which the sea and the wind have modified a stone so that any of its walls seemed arches of churches.
